In this week’s Well Delivery Lunch & Learn Blog, we’re answering some more specific questions that we’ve heard from prospects during webinars and demos. These are great qualifying questions to help you understand whether the SigmaFlow Solution could be a good fit for your business – as well as what you can expect to see from us in terms of deployment.
Question 1: Our Well information resides in a Well data repository. How would SigmaFlow fit in?
SigmaFlow and Well data repositories are an excellent combination– even better than peanut butter and jelly!
Both solutions can very easily coexist within a company. A Well data repository is a database for drilling and Well information and SigmaFlow is a Process and Scheduling solution. All the drilling data can be easily entered into SigmaFlow’s process centric solution and then we simply export it back into the data repository.
Question 2: Is SigmaFlow relevant for use in any basin or shale play?
Unconventional drilling is definitely SigmaFlow’s sweet spot.
Our data and scheduling process management solution helps enable the valuable migration of the ‘art to science’ concept in oil & gas unconventional drilling.
Question 3: What is the deployment process for the SigmaFlow solution?
Again, we would like to frame this in terms of a Good / Better / Best type of scenario.
The deployment process depends how comprehensive of a solution you are looking to implement.
Good – Implementing the Well Delivery Lite solution with workflow tracking (most prominent pain point within oil & gas companies), we can have users up and running in one month. We determine processes and reporting needs, import Well data and train users.
Better – Of course everything included in ‘Good’ plus a list and configuration of documents to be produced (AFEs, Geo Prognosis, and Surveys etc.) Scope of project is dependent on the amount of documents needed.
Best – The complete, comprehensive solution integrated to other systems. The scope of the project is based-on the integration points to other systems. The graphic below helps to outline a ‘Best’ scenario deployment schedule.
In next week’s Lunch & Learn Q&A Blog, we’ll be answering the question: Can you outline potential savings we could see when using the SigmaFlow solution?
